Luc Courtois has been immersed in the graphic design world for most of his life. Luc’s father was a sign writer and owned a combined sign shop and advertising agency in Toronto’s trendy Queen Street, back in 1972. Influenced by his father’s entrepreneurial success young Luc was surrounded by other creative influences at his family’s business which included cartoonists, illustrators, photographers and silk screeners. He would spend most of his Saturday mornings at the shop working on projects alongside his father who he considers one of the most talented sign writers of his time. At age 9, Luc hand-lettered his first truck and at age 11, armed with a handful of business cards, he brought in new business selling vehicle lettering work for his father. In two weeks the young entrepreneur managed to land 4 new accounts, lettering delivery trucks and cube vans. Luc was known as “Loveable Luc” on Queen Street with creative eye and early entrepreneur skills he was well on his way to honing his craft and started building his career early on. Luc enjoyed working at several agencies throughout Toronto and later in the Niagara Region. In his spare time, Luc tests his culinary skills with his love of cooking. A self proclaimed wine connoisseur he enjoys a wide selection of fine wines and music. An avid reader and Star Trek follower, he also finds time to watch football. Luc enjoys entertaining and spending time with family and friends. Even with his strong entrepreneurial background and achievements, Luc continues to be inspired by other “entrepreneurial” creative people.
